February 15, 2012 -At 07:53 the SHFD was dispatched to the intersection of Avenue D and Union Streets for a vehicle accident with fluids down. Chief 722 (Sattizahn) arrived on scene and found a small amount of fluids on the roadway and held the call to Station 2. Crews applied floor dry to the area around the vehicle and cleared debris.

Welcome to the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department
Schuylkill Haven is located in the southern tier of Schuylkill County. As a department Schuylkill Haven Fire covers an area of roughly twenty-five square miles and a population of around 6,200 residents. The Schuylkill Haven Fire Department is composed of three companies; Rainbow Hose Station 1, Schuylkill Hose Station 2, Liberty Fire Station 4. SHFD currently has three borough chiefs, each representing their respective companies; Borough Chief-Glenn Sattizahn, First Assistant-Mike Donatti, Second Assistant-Andy Motko. At this time as a department we run 4 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Light Rescue, 1 Utility Squad, 1 Tanker, 2 Squads, and 3 Inflatable Water Rescue Boats and 1 Aluminum Flat-bottom boat with side scan sonar.
